DBRC Profile

The DBRC is a City of Dayton initiative that was developed in response to a study that was recently conducted to evaluate the community's overall economic development delivery system. One of the key recommendations of the study was to create inter-agency cooperation between local economic development organizations in order to spur successful business retention and expansion efforts.

As a result, the Dayton Business Resource Center was born, creating a strategic alliance of agencies that support the retention and expansion of Dayton businesses. Partners include the City of Dayton's Office of Economic Development, CityWide Development Corporation, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Dayton Partnership.

Together, this team of professionals is dedicated to putting local business owners in touch with the resources best suited to assist them in navigating through the requirements for starting or expanding a business in Dayton. As Mayor Rhine McLin explains, "The purpose of the Dayton Business Resource Center is to provide a full menu of support services for local businesses. The DBRC is a place where business owners can cultivate relationships with the organizations that will aid them as they strive for success and profitability in the city."

Services offered through the DBRC are wide-ranging. The team at the Center is happy to assist with nearly any business-related question and will ensure that you are linked to the appropriate person, agency, or organization.
